A free dental check up and treatment camp on 20 April 2017:
A free dental check-up and treatment camp was conducted in the Department of Public Health Dentistry, People’s College of Dental Sciences and Research Centre, Bhopal for the Anganwadi workers of JP Nagar centre, Bhopal.
All the Anganwadi workers were brought to the Department of Public Health Dentistry and screened for the presence of any oral diseases. Preliminary treatment was provided immediately for those who required. Health education on common oral diseases was given by the postgraduate students of the department. About 50 workers benefited from this program. The entire program was conducted under the support and guidance of Dr Shaji Thomas, Dean PCDS and RC, Dr Ajay Bhambal, HOD, Dept of Public Health Dentistry, PCDS and RC, Bhopal.

About the speaker: Prof. Dr. Porus S. Turner is Professor of Postgraduate studies in the Dept. of Prosthodontics at A. B. Shetty Institute of Dental Studies, Mangalore, India. He is the founder member and past president of the Indian Academy of Aesthetic and Cosmetic Dentistry. He has 26 original publications in national and international journals to his credit and has contributed to two books on dentistry. Dr. Turner is a fellow of the Academy of Dentistry International.

Prosthodontist day celebration was on 22nd January 2017 at the auditorium of People’s College of Dental Sciences & Research Centre, which was graced by director administration Capt. Ambrish Sharma sir accompanied by Dean PCDS Dr. Shaji Thomas.
The entire Programme was organized and coordinated by the staff and postgraduate students of PCDS & RC under the guidance of HOD Dr. Benaiffer Agarwal.
