POSTER MAKING COMPETITION ON 12.06.2021
Department of Computer Science & Engineering organized Poster making Competition on the theme ”Impact of Internet During COVID” for all the students of SORT. This event was organized under “CSE Student Chapter Club”. Students showed the day to day life of how internet is affecting lives of people and its adverse effects. As COVID situation has affected the lives of people but it also has some adverse impact on people staying at home and hence leads to adverse effect of internet usage. The winners of the competition were Ms. Mobashrin Khan (BTech CSE II Sem), Mr.Mukesh Thakur (Diploma CSE IV Sem) & Ms.Mugdha Rahangdale(BTech CSE II Sem) Winners were provided digital badges and E-certificate was given to all the participants.
DANCING AND SINGING COMPETITION ON 10.06.2021
Dancing and Singing Competition was organized to provide good opportunity for the students who have interest in cultural activities like dancing, singing etc. Many students participated in this event actively and showed their talent in both singing and dancing. Physical activity has many physical and mental health outcomes. Students actively participated in this event of dancing and singing competition to enhance their overall physical and mental growth.
INTERNATIONAL WEBINAR ON “BIO-MIX FUEL DERIVED FROM WASTE FEEDSTOCK” on 05.06.2021
To collect several ideas and spread more information about the recent research being carried out on the bio-mix fuel derived from waste feedstock to the students, faculty, and professionals of various schools, colleges, universities and industries. The event coordinator initiated the event by introducing the eminent speaker to all the participants and sharing the importance of the title and idea of organizing it online that bases the global COVID-19 pandemic challenges, followed by welcome of Head of the Institution and IQAC Steering Committee and moderated precisely to ensure the program flow as per the scheduled itinerary. The eminent key-speaker explained about the key research findings by screening the PowerPoint Presentation, stressed over the impact of high Hydro-Carbon rich fuels on the environment and highlighted on his research over bio-mix fuels including raw materials specifically processed plant seeds and dead animal fats and oils, process of producing bio-mix fuels, pollution aspects, demand management etc. and also cleared the queries of the participants to a great extent. The session brought to verbal Question and Answers segment, followed by online Multiple Choice Question Quiz in the form of a feedback. The vote of thanks got conveyed by the Event Coordinator to the distinguished Speaker, Management, Dignitaries and all the participants.
A DAY WITH NATURE: MY RESPONSIBILITY TOWARDS NATURE ON 05.06.2021
Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized online competition on world environment day. A Day with Nature: My Responsibility towards Nature” was an initiative to make our environment better. Students were asked to do some social work which they wish to do for nature. One minute video was uploaded by them. In this activity all the participants took initiative towards making our world a better place. This activity has encouraged them to appreciate our nature.
RANG DE NATURE: RANGOLI COMPETITION ON 05.06.02021
Rang De Nature : Rangoli competition was organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering to celebrate the World Environment Day. The theme of the rangoli was “Ecosystem Restoration”. The objective of this event was to bring out the creative side of the students. Students showed their keen interest in the activity. They expressed their creativity through colors. Ms. Mobashrin Khan, student of BTech CSE I Year was the winner of the competition.
ONE DAY WORKSHOP ON TYPES OF CEMENT ON 04.06.2021
One day workshop on “Types of Cement” was organized by Civil Engineering Department on 04-06-2021. In this workshop we first discussed about recent development in cement industries and various new types of cements are being used in India. In this workshop we also discussed about cement production and special nomenclature used by cement industrialists in expressing the composition of their cement products. We revealed different types of cement products, their compositions, properties, and typical uses. Wherever possible, we tend to give reasons as to why a particular cement type is more suitable for a given purpose than other types. Cement manufacturing processes are associated with emissions of large quantities of greenhouse gases and environmental pollutants. By this workshop students got the knowledge about various types of cement, its composition and its uses in various climatic conditions and site conditions
WORKSHOP ON ANALYSIS OF HIGH RISE STRUCTURES BY USING STAADPRO” ON 03.06.2021
Department of Civil Engineering organized online Workshop on Analysis of High Rise Structures by using Staadpro on 03-06-2021. In this workshop, all the participants learnt about various commands and tools of staadpro which are used to design rise structures. Students also learnt that how staadpro is useful to design complicated elements of the structures in short time which takes too much time in manual analysis as well. Students got to know how staadpro is useful to analyze and design the various structures and how students can save time to design any structure by using this software.
TECHNICAL QUIZ COMPETITION ON “C++” ON 02.06.2021
A Quiz competition was held by Department of Computer Science and Engineering to test the technical skill of the students. The quiz included questions from basics up to coding related in C++. Two rounds of quiz were conducted. First round was held on 2/06/2021. Second round was conducted on 4/06/2021. Top 10 students were shortlisted for 2nd round. E-certificates were provided to the winners. The winners of the event were: Mr.Sudhanshu Kumar (B.TECH IV YEAR CSE-CCV), Mr. Prince Pandey (B.TECH I YEAR), Mr.Mukesh Thakur (DIPLOMA II YEAR).
TECHNICAL QUIZ COMPETITION ON 01.06.02021
The event was organized by Department of Mechanical Engineering, SORT where more than 50 participants took part in this competition. Technical Quiz Competition is a game of questions and answers that was played by technical students of Mechanical Engineering Department. All the participants came on online platform Zoom & the quiz was designed in MCQ and time based. Participants had to give the answers within given duration on Platform. Objective of this event was to develop the competitive skills among students and utilizing this lockdown time to get in touch with them.
ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION ON “IMPACT OF COVID-19 IN AN INDIAN ECONOMY” ON 02.06.2021
The department of Computer Science & Engineering organized an “Essay Writing Competition” for Computer Science department students only. Theme of Essay was “Impact of Covid -19 in an Indian Economy”. This competition was organized on 02.06.2021. Students participated in this competition with great zeal. Department received handwritten Essay though mail from students. It was a wonderful event and students. All students wrote wonderfully. This Essay writing competition invites students to explore a wide range of challenging and interesting questions. Writing an essay can build knowledge, and refine skills of argumentation. Lucrative for students, gives students the chance so that their work can be assessed by experts.
WEBINAR ON ‘QUALITY ENGINEERING’ ON 27.05.2021
The department of mechanical engineering organized a webinar on ‘Quality Engineering’ to enhance the knowledge and skills of our students so that they are able to deal with industrial problems. In this event, there were 82 students and 12 staff members done their registration. The title of our event was ‘Quality Engineering’ which was most valuable topic for any stream of students like mechanical, electrical, civil, electrical and electronics etc. In this webinar we discussed about different tools and techniques such as quality assurance, quality control, Just in time, Kaizen, Lean manufacturing, six-sigma etc. The above following quality techniques have been implemented successfully in many more industries or organization and they optimized their overall productivity.
QUIZ COMPETITION ON RECENT ADVANCEMENT OF ELECTRICAL TRANSMISSION & DISTRIBUTION ON 22.05.2021
Department of Electrical Engineering organized a “Quiz competition on Recent Advancement on Electrical Transmission & Distribution” In this Competition around 52 participants took part and enhance technical knowledge & know about the recent technology. All the participants came on online platform Zoom for final round and discuss the aspect of activity. Student came to know more about the recent technology and develop practical things about the subject. They have also learnt about the competitive world.
ONLINE PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION ON 24.05.2021
Department of Mechanical Engineering SORT organized online Photography Competition on 24.05.2021. The theme of competition was “NATURE”. Around 50 participants have taken part in this contest and shared some excellent picture captured by them on theme – Nature. All the participants came on online platform Zoom for final round and shared the perspective of their photographs in which they tried to represent the beauty of nature in a different way. Objective of this event was to develop the photography and competitive skills among students and utilizing this lock down time where no one supposes to do any activity/event outside. Student came to know more about the nature and its beauty and why should they protect the nature. They have also learnt about the competitive nature and its importance.
ONE DAY WEBINAR ON CAREER GUIDANCE IN THE FIELD OF ECE & EE ON 19.05.2021
Department of Electronics & Communication conducted an Online One Day Webinar on “Career Guidance in the field of ECE & EE”. The event was conducted online through “ZOOM” platform and the lecture was delivered by Mr. Manoj Singh Tomar. The event was open to students of ECE & EE. More than 50 students participated in the Webinar. In this webinar Students came to know in which field they can make their future in private as well as government sector. Also Students got knowledge about competitive exams, which exam can be given after engineering.
ONLINE OUTREACH PROGRAM ON “GEOSPATIAL TECHNOLOGY FOR ARCHAEOLOGICAL STUDIES” ON 17.05.2021
School of Research and Technology is Nodal center for IIRS-ISRO outreach programme. The department of computer science and engineering successfully organized online outreach program on “Geospatial Technology for Archaeological Studies” in collaboration with IIRS-ISRO. The participants got the comprehensive understanding of current trends in geospatial techniques for archaeological studies.
ONLINE TECHNICAL QUIZZ ON NETWORKING ON (19.12..2020)
Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized online technical quiz on 19.012.2020. The theme was “Basic Computer Networking”. The quiz was conducted in two rounds. First round had 25 questions and 30 seconds time was given for each question. Top 10 contestants were selected for the second round. The second round had 20 questions and 45 seconds for each question. The aim of this competition was to test the knowledge as well as the accuracy of the students. The students got the chance to test their knowledge about the computer networking. The concept of online platform along with the memes and background score entertaining. Roman Karki from B.Tech IBM was the winner.
Intra College Debate competition on (23.02.2021)
Intra College Debate competition was held on the 23rd February in order to celebrate the National Science Day in the honor of Indian Physicist Sir C.V Raman. The topic for debate was “Should Internet Use Need Censorship or Control? .16 students participated in the online mode and 8 students participated offline. The winner from this competition got the chance to participate in the Inter College Debate Competition held at the University on 28th February.
Diwali Cum Tradition day(21.10 2019)
Department of Computer Science & Engineering celebrated Diwali Cum Tradition day on 21 Oct 2019. Tradition day itself colors joy different cultures from different cities. On this occasion many competition like Diya decoration, Rangoli competition, Mehendi competition for staff members, students as well as for supporting staff was organized. Lots of fun games and activities with cash prizes were also planned out to encourage the Supporting Staff. All departments celebrated each and every moment with supporting staff
TEACHER`s DAY (05.09.2019)
Teacher’s day was celebrated in SORT on 5 September. Teacher’s day is celebrated as a birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the first Vice President and the second President of India. On this Occasion Faculties have been honored with “SHRIFAL” and Sweets. Best Teachers were awarded for excellent academic record.
A cultural program was organized in Peoples group auditorium where “SPIC MACY” Society presented “Rajasthani cultural folk arts” and students of various department performed many activities.
FRESHER`s PARTY 2019
Fresher’s party was organized by second year students of School of Research and Technology for first year B.Tech and Diploma to give them a warm welcome. The program was honored by Chief guest Pro Vice- Chancellor Dr. Harish Rao, People’s University and addressed by Dr. Dinesh kumar Rajoriya, Principal SORT.
The event included variety of cultural activities like dance, song, Fashion show and poetry. All students were participated with enthusiasm and traditionally won different pageant for Mr & Ms Fresher and Mr & Ms Eve titles. The event concluded with vote of thanks and everyone carrying a feeling of happiness within them.
SMART CITY BHOPAL VISIT (20.04.19 & 022.04.19)
SORT Student visited Bhopal Smart city on 20.04.19 & 22.04.19. Student visited integrated control& Command Centre Centre (ICCC). Official and Staff of Smart City Explained the functioning of many Real time project like-Bhopal Smart Parking, Public Bike Sharing System, Smart Pole & Intelligent Street Light system, Bhopal Smart Road etc. Students understood the process and problems in starting of STATUPs.
INTERNATIONAL WOMEN DAY CELEBRATION- 2019
International Women day was celebrated in SORT from 06.03.19 to 08.03.19. Program was organized by Department of Computer Science & Engineering. Aayam -2014
Aayam -2014 was celebrated in School of Research and Technology from 13th – 15th December 2014. The students participated in various competition like Movie Making, Salad Decoration, Mimicry, Antakshari , Mehandi ,Rangoli, quiz , song etc. The prize distribution ceremony was held on 24th December at People’s Big Auditorium. Honorable Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Honorable Home Minister Babulal Gour were presented in the function.
Faculty Development Programme (04-08 August 2014)
A five day FDM was organized at SORT Seminar hall. Dr.S.K.Saxena and Dr. Kiran Saxena from National Institute of Technical Teacher’s Training & Research Bhopal (NITTTR) delivered expert lecture and hands on session during five day. Twenty faculty members from the college attended the FDP.
Orientation program (17.07.2014).
SORT organized orientation day on 17th July 2014. On this honorable Principal addressed the new comer Students and their parents. Our Students Presented Dance, singing, and Drama. Faculty and Staff member introduced themselves and welcomed the new students.
