Philosophy
School of Nursing and Research*, People’s University believes that health is a fundamental right of all people and everyone has the responsibility towards maintaining their own health.
The institution believes that nursing is to assist the individual sick or well in performance of those activities contributing to health, it’s recovery or peaceful death that he would perform unaided if he had the necessary strength, will and knowledge.
The institution believes that the teachers have responsibilities to be the role model and create learning environment that enable students to acquire self-directed learning and foster an attitude of life long learning.
The institution believes that undergraduate nursing programme is broad based education directed towards helping the student in their all around development and become exemplary citizens by adhering to code of ethics and professional conduct at all times. The students take pride in their profession in fulfilling personal, social and professional obligation so as to respond to national and international aspiration.
Aims & Objectives
- To promote and strengthen the nursing skills for better competence in nursing profession.
- To meet the shortage of qualified nursing personnel’s in the country in general.
- Provide quality nursing care in collaboration with individuals and groups.
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills in making decisions in all situations.
