Procedure for admission and selection

  • The admission to all courses of nursing is governed by norms of Indian Nursing Council and statutes and ordinance of the People’s University, Bhopal.
  • The application form along with prospectus can be received by hand from college office on request by paying prescribed fee. It can also be made available by post by submitting a written application along with the prescribed fee in advance. The college does not take any responsibility for postal delay/losses if application form is requested by the post. The application form can be downloaded from the college website i.e. www.peoplesuniversity.edu.in. The prescribed fee demand draft has to be attached with form if download from website.
  • The candidate is requested to read prospectus carefully before filling the application form. No alteration can be made to any of the information provided in application form once it has been submitted.
  • The candidate shall take care to write complete & correct correspondence address with PIN in application form. The college will not be responsible for loss in any transit. The change in address should be promptly reported to the college timely in written.
  • A duly filled & signed application in candidate’s own handwriting with all requisite enclosure (attested photocopies) has to be sent to the Principal before the last date of admission. The proof of posting will not be accepted as proof of delivery or receipt in case of delay.
  • If any certificate is in a language other than English or Hindi, the candidates are strongly advised to also send an English translation of the same duly attested by Gazetted officer.
  • Incomplete application will be summarily rejected.
  • An eligibility criterion is given in the prospectus. It is the responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether they possess the requisite qualification for admission, having been called for counseling does not mean acceptance of eligibility.
  • The candidate’s selection & eligibility will be confirmed by People’s University, Bhopal and Madhya Pradesh Nurses Registration Council, Bhopal (for GNM). In case of non eligibility of candidates admission may be terminated at any time.
  • The selection of the candidate shall be made on the basis of selection criteria.
  • Selected candidates list will be displayed on college notice board. Selected candidate shall be present before the College Level Counseling (CLC) Committee on due date. The date of CLC shall be announced in the news paper or website or communicated personally to the candidate on the address given in the admission form.
  • The selected candidate shall bring original documents or other requisites given in the application form for selection process.
  • The dates of Pre PG (Nursing) Entrance Examination shall be publically announced in the News paper and website of the university or communicated personally to the candidates.
  • The candidate shall produce original document / certificates / affidavit / undertaking (especially Anti ragging) before CLC for verification / scrutinizing, if found eligible as per the norms of regulatory body shall grant admission in the subject / course. Candidates other than M. P. board shall submit original migration certificate from concern board or university, if a candidate is unable to produce it at the time of counseling he/she will be given one month time to submit it.
  • The original documents will be returned after completion of course after getting no dues from various departments.
  • English medium teaching is compulsory (expect GNM) hence the candidate can be asked for spoken/writing test at the time of admission if required. If in any case an examination is conducted the date, time, venue pattern etc. will be intimated to the applicant.
  • The entire selected candidates are required to submit MEDICAL FITNESS CERTIFICATE from Registered Medical Practitioner / People’s Hospital, People’s University, Bhopal. The expenses related to investigations etc. will be bear by the candidate. It is also required to get immunized with Hepatitis B before exposure to clinical experience.
  • The candidate from foreign countries shall produce NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE issued by the Government of India. Obtaining NOC is the responsibility of the candidate, if a selected candidate does not obtain a NOC, the provisional offer of admission shall lapse. The candidates are reminded to obtain student/provisional student visa to study at the PCN&RC, BHOPAL. In case of equal marks/merit, candidate older in age will be given preference.
  • The Government of India required that the all-foreign students admitted for course of study in this country should be screened for HIV infection. This will be done during the selection medical checkup. Any candidate found to have positive serological test for HIV will not be admitted.
  • The waiting list is prepared based on ranking in the final selection procedure. If a candidate does not appear on the given due date or withdraw his/her admission shall be deemed to be cancelled and the seat shall be allotted to the next candidate in the waiting list.
  • Candidate may withdraw the application for admission before last date of admission by writing an application to the Principal.
  • No admission in a particular course will be granted after the due dates as prescribed by Regulatory Bodies / course.
  • The medically unfit candidate can be terminated within six month.
  • The decision of the admission committee and counseling committee shall be final in the matter of selection of the candidate for admission.
  • Candidate who accept the offer selection and join the course must join the classes on the due date on which classes commence, or as mentioned in the call letter or information given by any other mean suitable.
  • Candidate who accept the offer selection and join the course will be expected to complete whole training period. If any candidate fails to do that will be required to pay fees payable for remaining period. Fees once paid will not be refunded. If due to any extra ordinary circumstances, a candidate is forced to discontinue or desires to withdraw it should be notified to the Principal.
  • The candidate shall deposit the annual fees every year in the month of July / August irrespective of performance, failing which he/she will be charged late fee as per the Fee Fixation Committee.
  • If a candidate is found to have furnished false information certificates or have concealed any information needed in his/her application, his/her candidature for admission & selection will be cancelled. He/she shall be removed from college roll and fee deposited by his/her shall be forfeited.
  • Peoples College of Nursing & Research Centre does not accept any type of donation for seats or authorize any agent for admission. Therefore candidates and parents are warned against unscrupulous elements who may try to cheat the prospective candidate by offering seats. If any person does so please inform Principal/Governing council directly.
  • The rules are subject to change in accordance with the decision of institution taken time to time. Any dispute regarding to any matter referred to herein shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Bhopal court alone.
