Programme summary:

The programme started with the lighting of the lamp by honorable dignitaries. The Chief Guest of the programme honorable Dr. G.C. Dixit Vice Chancellor,Peopple’s University highlighted the important aspect and unfolded the theme. The Guest of Honor Dr. Atulya Saurabh, Consulting geriatrician & physician, Vardan Hospital Bhopal deliberated about Gerontology: Scope & Standard of Practice. The Special Guest Lt. Col. (Mrs.) Arachana Selvan, Principal, R.D. Memorial College of Nursing, Bhopal highlighted the myth and realities related to ageing. The college Principal and organizing secretary (Prof.) Mrs. Karesh Prasad focused and explained about various welfare measures for elderly in India. The organizing secretary Mrs. Smita Johnson focused on prevention of accidents among elderly Mr. Ratan lal Patidar explained about depression in elderly, Mrs. Manisha Dcosta briefly deliberated about nutrition for elderly, Ms. Anand Shaily explained about obesity and weight loss elderly. Mr. Sudhir Allada discussed on osteoporosis in elderly. The vote of thanks was given Mrs Sunita Choubey.
