PCN & RC Organized workshop on neonatal resuscitation
07th Aug 2012, In order to reduce infant mortality rate Indian Academic of Paediatric under IAPNRP FGM running a project. The Main objective of this project is to educate health workers from the grass root level regarding resuscitation mesuares . To fulfill this objective a workshop was conducted at Peoples College of Nursing & Research Centre on 7th August 2012. The workshop was organized by Dr. Anju Kapoor (Professor Dept. of Paediatric People’s Hospital), Dr. Niti Agrawal (Professor Dept. of Paediatric Peoples Hospital) and Ms Poonam Gupta (Lecturer PCN & RC). The chief guest of the programme was Prof (Mrs.) K. Prasad (Principal, PCN &RC) , & the Guest was Mrs. Smita Jhonson (Vice Principal PCN & RC). Total 50 trainees had participated which includes 40 nursing students, 5 residents, & 5 staff nurses. Dr. Jyotsna Shrivastava (Professor Dept. of Paediatric, GMC), Dr. Vijiya Behore (Professor Dept. of Paediatracs, Peoples Hospital ) Course Coordinator also played key role in conducting this workshop.
PCN & RC Celebrated International Youth Day
13th Aug 2012, NSS Unit of PCN & RC in joint aegis with Family Planning Association of India celebrated International Youth Day. On this occasion a guest lecture was taken by Dr. Shailendra Patne Professor, Dept of Pharmacology, Gandhi Medical College on �Challenges & problems faced by Youth. He highlighted the important problem faced by the youth like HIV / Aids, smoking, alcoholism and violence. He also focused on the important role played by the nurses in management of such problems encountered by youth. Mr. Saurabh, Programme coordinator FPAI briefed the activities of FPAI for youth. College Principal Prof. (Mrs.) Karesh Prasad appreciated and congratulated for the efforts taken by FPAI and NSS activities conducted by college under co-ordinatorship of Mrs. Minu S. Nair Lecturer & NSS Incharge and Mr. Ratan Lal Patidar Asst. Lecturer PCN & RC.
