The infrastructure of lab enable to conduct Molecular studies, which encompasses Thermal Cycler, Electrophoresis Assembly, Deep Freezer, Incubator, Centrifuge, Microscope and other necessary apparatus. The lab is presently working on molecular analysis, diagnosis and toxicological studies and runs under the supervision and guidance of a Scientist (Dr. Abin Mani, Ph.D.) and Lab Technician (Ms. Neha Sarathe BMLT, M.Sc.). The lab runs projects on Human Microbiome and investigates the function and association of regulatory gene on diversity and disease in human.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\">Equipment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Human molecular Genetics Section:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>PCR<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Horizontal Electrophoresis assembly<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>High Speed refrigerated Centrifuge<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Digital pH meter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Digital weighing balance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deep Freezer (-20.&nbsp;C)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hot Air oven<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Horizontal Air flow laminar bench<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Millipore Highly Purified water system<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>UV-VIS spectrophotometer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gel Documentation assembly<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Research Microscope with Fluorescence, Phase Contrast, Dark and Light field microscopy, Table top centrifug.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vertical air flow laminar bench.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cytogenetic Section<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Research Microscope with Fluorescence, Phase Contrast, Dark and Light field microscopy, attached with CCD Camera (12 M Pix) and Automatic Karyogram software.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Table top centrifug.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cell Lymphocyte Culture Lab<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>CO2, Humidifier temperature control microscope.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vertical air flow laminar bench.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\">Infrastructure<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The following facilities are available at HGL:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cytogenetic studies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chromosomal analysis.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Molecular Human Genetics studies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Animal Cell Culture<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\">Staff Members<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dr. Abin Mani<\/strong><br><strong>Designation<\/strong> : Associate Professor &amp; Senior Scientist<br><strong>Email<\/strong> :&nbsp;abin.csrd{at}peoplesuniversity.edu.in<br>Human Genetic Lab, C.
