{"id":131,"date":"2025-09-23T05:59:04","date_gmt":"2025-09-23T05:59:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.peoplesuniversity.edu.in\/nursing-college-bhopal\/?page_id=131"},"modified":"2026-02-20T10:42:20","modified_gmt":"2026-02-20T10:42:20","slug":"community-health-nursing","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.peoplesuniversity.edu.in\/nursing-college-bhopal\/community-health-nursing\/","title":{"rendered":"Standard Operating Procedure for Community Health Nursing Lab"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Stock Management (Inventory, Updates, Repair and Condemnation)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Monthly inventory of lab items and equipments\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Maintain lab utility register<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Update your lab (purchase )<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain CSSD register<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain laundry book<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Send for repair if in case of damage\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If not repairable send for condemnation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All equipment should be in good working condition at all times.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>New equipment should be calibrated and validated before routine use<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Periodic performance check\/calibration check for all equipment should be done using reference standard\/reference material.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The reagents, chemicals and consumables should be stored under appropriate environmental conditions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Lab Utilization Protocol For Students\/staffs :<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Maintain the cleanliness\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>wear professional casual clothing that allows ease of movement such as required in a clinical practice environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>long hair must be tied back<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>false finger nails (including acrylic and gel), bracelets, dangling earrings, and rings (except for simple unadorned bands) are not acceptable in the laboratory setting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>be considerate: there is often more than one group working within the laboratories and noise should therefore be kept to a minimum.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No eating or drinking is permitted in the laboratories, with the exception of drinking from bottles containing water.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Replace the articles after the procedure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proper disposable of wastes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>equipment and models must not be removed from the laboratories<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure the electric appliances are switched off and locked<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>be responsible for any damage or loss of equipment by having the equipment properly repaired, replaced, or by fully reimbursing within the week<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students will use the lab only for its intended purpose. Failure to do so will require the students to vacate the lab.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students may come to the lab for extra practice time of psychomotor skills. Appointments may be necessary depending on needs\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Follow the pest control measures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>General Safety Measures<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Documentation of Laboratory Safety Policies and Procedures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All laboratory personnel should be aware about the laboratory safety policies and procedures and follow these at all times.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>List of hazardous materials used in the laboratory should be prepared.
