Prof. Amitabh Kallury, postgraduated from centre of National repute and excellence in dentistry, SDM College of Dental Sciences, Dharwad, under the able guidance of Professor V.P. Jayade in the year October 1999 and MDO, Fellow of Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow in the year December 1999. He has served as a faculty in different capacities in the department of Orthodontics, since last 12 years. During the tenure as a faculty he has enriched his knowledge and professional skills par sas Professor and Head he is actively involved in teaching , research and guiding the students of the department.
He is a recognized under graduate and post graduate examiner. He has intensive exposure in post doctoral training and specialises in areas of diverse nature such as dentofacial deformities in cleft patients, orthognathic surgeries, management of periodontally compromised orthodontic patients, orthodontic micro implants and lingual orthodontics.
He is actively involved in administrative, academic, and research activities of the Institution and was a designated member on different committees in the institute.
He is an active member of the Indian Orthodontic Society. He has several publications in both national and international journals to his credit.
