Annual Function ZEST 2K24 (Day -6)
Date: 24 February 2024 – Cultural Events
The third and final edition of the annual function concluded with ZEST 2k24 Cultural Function. The annual function of the People’s Institute of Management and Research at the People’s University was held on Saturday at the People’s Auditorium. The function was inaugurated by lighting the lamp with Saraswati Vandana and Ganesh Vandana. On this occasion, the children presented their talent through amazing programs like Dance, Fashion Show, Open Mic and Singing. The children showed great interest in this festival by participating in the Executive Committee. The Executive Committee of the University was also present. All the students participated enthusiastically in the annual function. The program was conducted by Pradyuman Singh, Gitika Goswami, Aditya Pawar and Pooja Prasad. The students performed brilliantly on Bollywood hit dances like Jeene Ke Hai Char Din, Afreen Afreen, Senorita, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom…. In the dance competition, Priya and Ishaan Qureshi stood first in solo dance and Prem Lohar and Vidya Sonar stood first in group dance.
Prem Lohar stood first in the singing competition, Rashmi Srivastava stood first in the Ardhanarishwar look in the fashion show, Pooja Prasad stood second in Lata Mangeshkar’s look and Vidhi Grover stood third in Rani Laxmibai’s look. Meritorious and talented students who have excelled in the field of education were honored on this occasion. He was given a trophy and certificate at the felicitation ceremony. Ojaswi Jain in BBA 1st year and Mai Deep Gautam in BBA 2nd year, Mai Kashish Pamnani in B.Com 1st year and Mai Atul Dubey in B.Com 2nd year, Mai Rida Hussain in B.Com (Hons) 1st year and B.Com.(Hons) 2nd year Arpit Thapa, MBA (dual) 1st year Mai Mehak Malhotra. M.B.A. Pooja Sharma got first prize in MBA(H.A.).
On this occasion, Pracharya expressed his gratitude to all the students and parents and told them that it is the duty of every student to participate in every activity of the university, there is a lot to learn in this and one should never lag behind in the learning process. Students showed their skills in indoor games and became winners
the second edition of the annual festival concluded with ZEST 2k24 Indoor Games. The indoor games were organized by the People’s Institute of Management and Research at the People’s University. Under the competition, competitions like Table Tennis, Chess, Carrom, Management competition like group discussion and personal interview etc. were held. College students participated in these with great enthusiasm. Indoor games were organized with the aim of all-round development of the personality of the students through sports competition, increasing their self-confidence and developing a sense of team spirit. In the competitions organized in the college campus, Rajnandani and Nikhil Raj got first place in Carrom doubles, Rashmi Srivastava and Satyam Udeniya got first place in Chess, Pragati Srivastava and Rupesh Patel got first place in Table Tennis. Through sports, the students displayed the positive energy provided by indoor games. At the closing ceremony of the sports competition, Principal addressed the students about the importance of sports and the spirit of sports. He explained to the children that sports gives positivity to a person’s life and strength to fight every difficulty. He prepares for challenges mentally. At the end of the Indoor Games, Principal and Coordinators admire students’ gratitude towards all the competitions.

Outdoor games were a blast on Sports Day in PIMR Zest 2k24.
The first edition of the three-day annual function by the People’s Institute of Management and Research at the People’s University began with the ZEST 2k24 outdoor games. Through outdoor games, outdoor games were organized with the aim of all-round development of the personality of the students, increasing their self-confidence and developing a sense of team spirit. Under this competition, cricket, kabaddi, single and relay race, badminton and tug of war competitions were organized in the university premises.
Through sports competitions, students were told that playing outdoor games strengthens their muscles and bones, increases immunity and also reduces the risk of diabetes, heart problems and obesity. Gurleen Singh, Sonakshi Soni, Varsha Gaur, Luv Kush Baghel won first prize in 400 meters in single and relay race,In 200 meter Dhruv Sharma and Varsha Gaur, in 100 meter Priya Srivastava and Dhruv Sharma got first prize. Anurag Srivastava and Khushboo Singh got first prize in badminton. At the conclusion of the sports competitions, the Principal told the students that the human body is a very complex machine. Apart from air, water and food, outdoor activity is very important to keep humans healthy and fit. Outdoor activity keeps the body very flexible and light and gives energy and inspiration to the body. And students Gurleen Singh, Neha Parveen and Aditya Panwar, as coordinators, organized the game with great enthusiasm. And teachers and principal called upon the young generation to establish outdoor activities.

People’s Institute of Management & Research organized an Expert Lecture on 01 May 2023 for its students of both undergraduate and post graduate students. The orator of the event was Ms. Jayshree Nair. She is the Director and CEO of ANGC Group India Pvt. Ltd. Dr. Abhilasha Jain, HOD, PG program welcomed the guest with a bouquet of flowers. The topic of the seminar was Entrepreneurship. She told students about the basics and how to develop Business skills among them. She encouraged them to look for ideas and work on them to develop their own start-ups. India is a country of young developing minds and our Prime Minister has also launched many schemes to support entrepreneurs. To encourage our talented students, Ms. Jayshree guided them with her knowledge. The students also asked their queries and made it an interactive session. It was a great and successful event.

People’s Institute of Management & Research organized an excursion to Tribal Museum on 06 May 2023 for its students of both undergraduate and post graduate students.
42 students from BBA/B.Com/MBA(HA) joined the picnic to the museum and enjoyed along with the faculties.
The tribal museum was designed by Revathi Kamath. It was inaugurated in 2013. The museum is divided into six different themes galleries showcasing traditional art, craft and culture of various tribes of Madhya Pradesh. Students learnt a lot about the cultural and heritage of Madhya Pradesh.
Students were also provided with refreshments. After the visit, all the students gathered to have a pool lunch and enjoy the picnic. The day ended with a lot of memories.

People’s University organized a Tennis ball Inter College Cricket tournament for its teaching and non teaching staff from 27th February 2023 to 3rd March 2023. The tournament had nine teams from various colleges and PIMR was one of them. Team PIMR won its first match against People’s Hospital Staff. Next match was won again by PIMR against SORT. Team PIMR reached semi finals and played against Nursing College. Team PIMR won again and reached into finals to play against People’s Pharmacy College.
Team PIMR lost the match but won the hearts and gave a tough match to the Pharmacy team. The tournament promoted sportsmanship and discipline among all the staff members.

The Regional Science Center Bhopal engaged in popularizing Science and Technology amongst students in particular and the masses in general, through a wide range of activities and interactive programmes. Students also enjoyed Taramandal Show and 3D movie in the ccentre.

PIMR organized a Financial Wellness Awareness Program on 16 June 2023 for its teaching and Non teaching staff in the campus. The program was conducted to raise awareness among the staff regarding Financial Markets and securities.
This session was joined by around 45 staff members of the various institutes including PIMR,PIHM, Law department, both teaching and non teaching members.
Orator of the event was Mr. Praveen Jain, who is a Financial Corporate Trainer. Head of the Institute, Dr. Sunil Agrawal welcomed the guest of honour with a flower pot.
Mr. Praveen discussed about various securities in the market and how can the investible ones be identified and how to gain out of them.
Overall it was a great interactive session and all the members gained a lot of financial knowledge.

The United Nations established June 5 as World Environment Day to draw attention to how important environmental preservation and health is, as they have an impact on human well-being and global economic growth.
Students from the III and V Semester took part in the activity. In presence of HOI, they planted saplings and contributed towards clean and green nature. They created numerous posters emphasising the preservation of nature and a world free of plastic. The PIMR is dedicated to educating pupils about the numerous events taking on around the nation or the globe. Since they are the nation’s future, it is crucial that children understand their environment, its value, and how to safeguard it.

Every year on July 26, the country celebrates Kargil Vijay Diwas. The triumph of the Indian armed forces over Pakistan in the Kargil War is remembered on this day. The purpose of the day is to honour the bravery and sacrifice of the soldiers who fought in the 1999 conflict.
People’s Institute of Management & Research along with its students participated in this celebration. A small ceremony was organized in the campus for the event. Professor Kiran Panjwani spoke on the significance of the day and praised the valour of the Indian army.
Following that, students collectively swore an oath to always honour those troops and our country. They pledged to act like a thoughtful citizen and an honest Indian.

It also helps students prepare for a successful career with clear vision about what lies ahead and what can be achieved at the end of their courses.
The program began with a teeka ceremony for all the new students. Senior students welcomed new students in the campus by putting a teeka on their forehead to mark a beautiful start to the journey of their college lives. After which Saraswati vandana was done to seek blessing from the goddess of knowledge & wisdom. Dr. Neerja Malik, Registrar, People’s University along with Prof. Akhilesh Mittal (Dean Academic Affairs).

On this beautiful day, People’s Institute of Management and Research celebrated the hardship and efforts of the professors of PIMR. The programme was organized by students of UG & PG program. The programme was attended by all the faculty members along with the non teaching staff of the college.
Classrooms were beautifully decorated with flowers, balloons, and festoons. The event commenced at 12 Noon. The teachers were welcomed with a teeka, flowers and gifts. The event by graced by Prof. Akhilesh Mittal (Dean Academic Affairs). The students dedicated various dance performances, and songs for their beloved teachers. Cake cutting and fun games were also played in the event. The students made sure to make all their teachers feel special and valuable.
At the end of the programme, Dr. Sunil Agrawal (Principal, PIMR) gave a vote of thanks on behalf of all the teachers and also appreciated the teachers for their immense contribution to the institution for years. The entire program ended on a happy note.

JANMASHTAMI
Janmashtami is the birthday of lord Krishna which is celebrated with great enthusiasm all over the country. The holy occasion brings people together, thus it signifies unity and faith. On this auspicious occasion, People’s Institute of Management and Research (PIMR) celebrated the festival of Janmashtami in the campus, with great zeal and enthusiasm. The Programme commenced with ritual of Krishna aarti and worshipping lord Krishna. Dr. Sunil Agarwal (Principle, PIMR) initiated the ceremony by offering flowers and aarti to the almighty.
Students sang bhajans and celebrated the event with full enthusiasm. After this, boys of UG program proceeded towards Dahi Handi celebration in the campus garden. Dahi Handi celebration encourages the importance of team work, unity and faith. The students were overjoyed when they broke the “Dahi Handi”. The tremendous efforts of students made it a beautiful sight to watch.
At the end of the programme, sweets and refreshments were distributed to celebrate the happy occasion. After which teachers and students danced together to celebrate the Janmotsava.

At the end of the programme, sweets and refreshments were distributed to celebrate the happy occasion. After which teachers and students danced together to celebrate the Janmotsava.
MARKETING WORKSHOP
People’s Institute of Management & Research organized a two days marketing workshop for the students of UG- III & V Semester on 17th and 18th august 2023. It aimed at providing profound understanding of diverse marketing strategies, branding techniques and related concepts.
The speaker of the event was Mr. Rahul Bhargava, founder of Rdot Ventures and Shekunj. He is also a prestigious TEDx speaker. He commenced the session with fundamental principles of marketing and its strong presence in today’s competitive landscape. He presented various real world case studies to exemplify successful branding campaigns.
The event undoubtedly contributed to expanding student’s horizons and preparing them to tackle the challenges of the dynamic marketing landscape.

FRESHERS PARTY – AAGHAZ 2023
People’s Institute of Management and Research organized a fresher’s party named Aagaaz 2023 in Small Auditorium, People’s University on 16 Sep 2023. The event was coordinated by Assistant Professor’s Manisha Rajdev and Kiran Panjwani.
The main purpose of this event was to maintain harmony and welcome new graduate & postgraduate students, which was celebrated with great pomp and enthusiasm. The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by honorable Vice Chancellor, People’s University Dr. Harish Rao and Director Dr. Sunil Agarwal.The main attraction of Aagaaz 2022 was dance, singing and ramp walk. The ceremony aimed to provide a platform to the students to showcase their talent and skills in various fields in which they performed singing and dancing.
Satyam Udeniya (MBA I Sem) and Ifra Khan (BCom I Sem) were awarded Mr. and Miss Fresher. The title of Mr. and Miss Attire was given to Nikhil & Nandini (BBA I Sem). These were selected through ramp walk and question answer round, in which students performed amazingly and were awarded with the trophy.
The program ended with lots of fun, food and music.

PIMR organized a Faculty Knowledge Sharing Program on 9 sep 2023 for its teaching and Non teaching staff in the campus. The program was conducted to raise awareness among the staff regarding Innovative teaching strategies & methodology.
This session was joined by around 45 staff members of the various institutes including PIMR,PIHM, SORT and Pharmacy.
Orator of the event was Prof. Girishchandran Pillai, Faculty member of ICFAI Business School, Ahmedabad. Head of the Institute, Dr. Sunil Agarwal welcomed the guest of honour with a flower bouquet.
Innovative techniques and how to tackle learning problems of Genz’s was discussed in detail by the guest speaker. The program was a great success.
