MBA Pharmaceutical Management in Bhopal – PIMR

Where business decisions meet the drug on the shelf — build the career that runs India’s pharma industry.

According to the Economic Survey 2025-26, India’s pharmaceutical market is valued at USD 60 billion (₹5.41 lakh crore) and set to reach USD 130 billion (₹11.73 lakh crore) by 2030 — be part of the industry driving that growth.

Program Overview

This two-year postgraduate course at People’s Institute of Management and Research is meant for students who want to work inside the pharmaceutical business specifically. The subjects are pharma marketing, drug regulation, supply chain, healthcare strategy — the actual stuff of the industry, not just business theory dressed up with a few pharma examples.

The Government’s own Economic Survey 2025-26 puts India’s domestic pharma market at USD 60 billion right now, headed toward USD 130 billion by 2030 — more than doubling in under five years. That growth alone makes India the third-largest pharma producer in the world by volume.

Someone stepping into pharma business management needs to know drug regulation and supply chains as well as they know a balance sheet or a marketing plan, and that’s the whole point behind how this course is put together.

Career Opportunities

Graduates end up as product managers, marketing managers, regulatory affairs managers, supply chain managers or business development executives — working across pharma manufacturing companies, hospitals, diagnostic chains and drug distribution firms. Over the years, this career path usually moves toward Brand Manager, Regional Sales Manager or General Manager – Operations roles within a pharma company. There’s also room in pharma consulting, healthcare market research, clinical research, hospital procurement and government health departments. India is already the “Pharmacy of the World,” supplying around 20 percent of the global generic medicine market — it’s a degree for one specific gap in that story, where the industry needs people who get both the science and the business decisions running underneath it.
