Painting Competition – Gender Issues and Discrimination
As per UGC direction letter dated DO No. 91-5/2021(GS) 22 Nov, 2022. Chairman ICC (Internal Complaint Committee) with the help of Cultural club (Ms Eisha Ganju) under the guidance of DSW Mr. Sanjay Singh organised Painting Competition in People’s University Campus on gender equality. We had 42 participants. We got so many beautiful paintings out of this.
Outcome of the event:The competition led to the enthusiasm within the students and the hidden talents were also seen and appreciated.

ORGANISATION OF FAREWELL PARTY AT DEPARTMENT OF POST GRADUATE LEGAL STUDIES, PEOPLE’S UNIVERSITY
With the kind approval of the Chancellor People’s University and in the esteemed guidance of the Vice Chancellor Dr Rajesh Kapoor the Department of Post Graduate
Legal Studies, People’s University, Bhopal had recently bid adieu to its outgoing batch of 2021-22 by organising a Farewell Party on 27/08/2022.
The event was organized with the approval of Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor, Smt. Megha Vijayvargiya Ma’am and was graced with the august presence of Dr. Neerja Mallick
Ma’am, Registrar, People’s University who interacted with and felicitated the students by giving them a token of gift on behalf of the People’s University.
Dr. Anju Bajpai, HOD, Department of Post Graduate Legal Studies, guided students for their future career opportunities and motivated the students to pursue the higher studies.

Tree Plantation Drive
In the context of successfully completing one year of assuming the office by the Hon’ble
Governor and Chancellor, a large-scale Tree Plantation drive was organized in universities on a large scale on July 08, 2022. Towards the same, Dr. Anju Bajpai, HOI, Department of Post Graduate Legal Studies, People’s University, Bhopal and Mr. Vishwanath Singh Rajput, Assistant Professor, Department of Post Graduate Legal Studies, People’s University, Bhopal also participated in this activity by planting saplings on the campus on July 08, 2022.

Celebrating International Day For Yoga
Joining crores of people across the globe, the People’s Institute of Management & Research in collaboration with the Department of Post Graduate Legal Studies has celebrated the 8th edition of International Day for Yoga with full fervour on June 21,2022. Keeping in mind this year’s theme of ‘Yoga for Humanity’, the celebration was organized at the PIMR Campus by performing Surya Namaskar, Basic Yoga Asanas and other breathing exercises witnessing active participation from Faculties, Non-Teaching Staff and Students.

Lecture on Gender Justice Laws in India May 23, 2022
A lecture on Gender Justice Laws in India was organized on May 23, 2022, by the People’s Institute of Management & Research, People’s University, Bhopal in collaboration with the Department of Post Graduate Legal Studies, People’s University, Bhopal. The lecture was given by Dr. Anju Bajpai, Chairman (Internal Complaints Committee) and HOD, Department of Post-Graduate Legal Studies, People’s University, Bhopal. In the lecture, the participants were informed about several gender justice laws such as Maternity Benefit Laws, Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, Domestic Violence Act, 2005, etc., and recent judicial pronouncements. The speaker emphasized the role of citizens in the implementation of these laws. Students were further asked to take steps towards ensuring gender justice.

Dr. Neerja Mallick, Registrar, People’s University, Bhopal inaugurated the workshop by providing a brief introduction about the event and committees established in university. The orientation was given by Dr. Anju Bajpai, Chairman (Internal Complaints Committee) and HOD, Department of Post-Graduate Legal Studies, People’s University, Bhopal. In the workshop, the participants were made aware of some of the important provisions of the (POSH) Act, 2013. The speaker started with the history of the law, its contents, and completed the event by discussing recent developments in the law.
