The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences organized a one-day Workshop on Research Paper and Project Report Writing on 27/10/2025 with the objective of enhancing students’ understanding of academic writing, research methodology, and the structure of scholarly papers.


The session began with an inaugural address by Ms.Mini , Assistant professor DHSS and welcome note by Dr. Shubham Saxena , Head of Department DHSS who highlighted the importance of research writing skills in academic and professional growth, and welcome the students and guests in workshop. The resource person of the workshop, Ms Shringarika Khare, Assistant professor DHSS and Ms Aakriti, Assistant professor PILS delivered an insightful presentation covering key aspects such as:
- Understanding research problems and objectives
- Structuring a research paper and project report
- Referencing styles and plagiarism awareness
- Data analysis, interpretation and importance of paper publication

The workshop was interactive, with participants engaging in discussions and practical exercises on topic selection, abstract writing, and formatting. The resource person also guided students on common mistakes to avoid while preparing project reports and manuscripts.

A total of 60 students and faculty members participated in the workshop. The participants expressed that the session was highly informative and motivated them to pursue research with greater clarity and confidence.

The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Mini , Assistant professor, DHSS, expressing thanks to the Management organizer guest, resource person, and participants for making the event successful.

Outcome:
The workshop successfully equipped participants with essential research writing techniques and encouraged a culture of academic inquiry and publication among students and faculty.
