People’s University is spread across 84 acres in Bhopal and has been built over more than two decades into something that goes well beyond a typical university campus. With 11 institutes, a working hospital, research labs, hostels, sports facilities and everything in between students here don’t need to look elsewhere for much.
Academic Infrastructure
Classrooms are equipped with interactive boards, projectors and fast speed Wi-Fi so that learning doesn’t stop at the textbook. There isvarious seminar rooms used daily for academic sessions, presentations and workshops. A grand auditorium and conference halls take care of the bigger events – guest lectures. convocations, seminars etc.
Laboratories & Research Facilities
There are multiple teaching labs across the campus covering medicine, engineering, pharmacy, paramedical sciences, life sciences and hotel management, each set up for the specific needs of that discipline. A Central Research Laboratory supports advanced research for Ph.D. scholars and students of postgraduate. Separate departmental labs provide an opportunity for practical work to be done in the appropriate setting. Medical and nursing students also have access to simulation and clinical skills labs where they practice on models before actually practicing on patients.
Library & Knowledge Resources
There are numerous institutional libraries and departmental libraries that inclusively house books, journals and reference materials. The university also provides access to e-books, research journals and electronic databases. There are quiet study areas for those students who want a quiet space.
People’s Hospital — Teaching Hospital
Having a 1500bedded hospital on campus is something not many universities can say. People’s Hospital is NABH-accredited, fully operational and serves as the clinical training ground for students of medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy and paramedical sciences. Students here work alongside real patients under proper supervision of senior doctors, which makes a significant difference when they step out into their careers.
Hostel & Residential Facilities
Separate hostel blocks available for males and female’s students. The rooms are available in single, double and shared capacities. Wardens are present in each and every block, mess facilities serve daily meals.
Sports & Physical Wellness
A stadium, multiple open grounds&courts support cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, athletics and more. Indoor facilities cover carrom, table tennis, badminton and chess etc. There is a gymnasium with certifiedexperts/supervisors and dedicated spaces for yoga as well, because physical health matters just as much as academics.
Cafeteria & Food Services
A cafeteria and multiple canteens are placed across the campus so students can eat between classes without the hassle of walking to one end of the campus.Food is fresh, clean and affordable.Students from the Hotel Management institute train in professional kitchens that also serve the campus.
Digital Infrastructure & Connectivity
Super-Fast Wi-Fi covers all hostels, libraries, other academic blocks and common areas. An ERP system handles academics, attendance, examinations and fee management accessible through a portal and mobile app. Computer labs are available for general use and for specialized software training depending on the program.
Safety & Security
The premises operates 24X7 security with guards at all entry and exit points, including all academic buildings and hostel areas. CCTV cameras are placed at strategic points and transmit images to security control room. Beyond the guards and cameras, the campus has a boundary wall, fire alarms, smoke detectors and regular safety drills.
Essential Campus Services
ATM and banking facilities, a guest house for parents and visitors, courier services, laundry for hostel residents and a housekeeping team that maintains the campus daily, the basics are covered. The campus also has ramps and accessible infrastructure for differently-abled students.
