The Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Groups Cell (SEDG Cell) is designed to identify, assist, and empower students who face financial or social challenges.

Objectives of the SEDG Cell
- Identify and support students from economically and socially disadvantaged backgrounds.
- Facilitate access to scholarships, financial aid, and government welfare schemes.
- Provide mentoring, remedial coaching, and skill development programs.
- Promote awareness about inclusive education, social equity, and student rights.
- Encourage active participation in academics, extracurricular activities, and campus life.
Key Functions
- Assisting students in availing scholarships, fee waivers, discounts and financial support offered by the university and government.
- Organizing workshops, orientation programs, and awareness campaigns on social equity and empowerment.
- Coordinating with faculty for remedial classes, mentoring, and academic support.
- Providing counseling and career guidance for holistic student development.
- Monitoring and ensuring that students from weaker sections receive all entitlements and benefits.
