About the Department:
The Department of Biotechnology at the School of Research and Technology (SORT), People’s University, Bhopal, was established in the academic session 2023–24 with the objective of imparting quality education and promoting research excellence in the field of Biotechnology. The department is committed to outcome-based education, skill development, and interdisciplinary learning.
It emphasizes a balanced integration of academic rigor, innovation, research, and professional ethics. The department is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories to facilitate experiential learning and research-oriented training. The curriculum addresses emerging areas such as Pharmaceutics, Bioprocess Engineering, Food and Dairy Technology, Agricultural, Animal, and Medical Biotechnology.
