Faculty Development Program

Peoples Institute Of Legal Studies, Peoples University, Bhopal Organized A 5-day Faculty Development Program From 16 February To 20 February. The Chief Guest Of The Program Was Dr. Amit Mehrotra, Professor National Judicial Academy His Speech Was Focused On The Challenges Of The Research. The Last Day Was Ended With The Dr. Mona Purohit, Dean, Bu, Bhopal Motivating Towards Research And Its Moral Values.

“Empowering Youth For A Drug-free India”- National Youth Day

People’s institute of legal studies and district legal service authority (DALSA), Bhopal together organized on 12th January 2026 marking the birth anniversary of swami Vivekananda. Substance- abuse particularly among young people posses a serious threat to public health, social harmony and national progress. Government of India addressing this issue launched under NASHA MUKT BHARAT ABHIYAAN creating awareness, prevention and community participation to eliminate drug abuse. Taking pledge motivates young minds to make drug-free society.

1st Intra Moot Court Competition-2025

People’s Institute of Legal Studies successfully organized its First Intra Moot Court Competition 2025 from 5–6 December 2025. The event enhanced students’ research, advocacy, and courtroom skills, followed national moot standards, featured expert judges, and concluded with awards and future national-level aspirations.

Constitution Day-2025

People’s Institute of Legal Studies, People’s University, Bhopal, organized a One-Day Constitution Day Seminar on 26 November 2025 on “Role of Judiciary in Protection of Fundamental Rights.” Eminent jurists delivered insightful lectures, student presentations enriched discussions, and the event reinforced constitutional values and judicial responsibility.

National Unity Day-2025

People’s Institute of Legal Studies celebrated National Unity Day on 31 October 2025 with patriotic spirit. The programme highlighted Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s contributions, emphasized unity and self-reliance under the theme “Ek Bharat, Aatmanirbhar Bharat,” and included an inspiring address and National Unity Pledge.

Fire Safety Awareness Program

A Fire Safety Awareness Programme was organized at People’s Institute of Legal Studies on 22 September 2025. Safety Officer Mr. Deep Singh educated students on fire hazards, extinguisher use, evacuation procedures, and emergency preparedness through theory and practical demonstrations.

Swachhta Pakhwada Celebration

As part of SwachhtaPakhwada, PILS organized a Cleanliness Drive on 10 September 2025. Led by the Principal and Heads, students cleaned campus and nearby areas, reflected on hygiene, engaged the community, honored housekeeping staff, and reinforced civic responsibility and Swachh Bharat values.

Teacher’s Day-2025

People’s Institute of Legal Studies celebrated Teachers’ Day on 5 September honoring Dr. S. Radhakrishnan. Law and Humanities students organized lamp lighting, speeches, cultural performances, games, and interactions. Faculty shared experiences, inspiring students. The event strengthened gratitude, unity, and the student–teacher bond, making the celebration memorable and meaningful for all.

Anti Ragging

An Anti-Ragging Awareness Programme was organized on 12 August 2025 by CSRD in collaboration with PILS. The session sensitized students about legal consequences of ragging, promoted a safe campus, and reinforced the institution’s zero-tolerance policy.

Road Safety Movement

On 30 May 2025, People’s Institute of Legal Studies organized a Road Safety Awareness Programme with Event Tree Organization. Addressed by the Principal, the event educated law students on traffic rules, safe driving, and responsibility, encouraging them to promote road safety and prevent accidents.

National Lok Adalat Visit

On 10 May 2025, nine law students of People’s Institute of Legal Studies visited the National Lok Adalat, District Court Bhopal. Guided by faculty, students observed ADR proceedings, understood Lok Adalat functioning, and gained practical insights into accessible and speedy justice delivery in India, benefiting academic learning and legal awareness.


Painting Competition – Gender Issues and Discrimination
As per UGC direction letter dated DO No. 91-5/2021(GS) 22 Nov, 2022. Chairman ICC (Internal Complaint Committee) with the help of Cultural club (Ms Eisha Ganju) under the guidance of DSW Mr. Sanjay Singh organised Painting Competition in People’s University Campus on gender equality. We had 42 participants. We got so many beautiful paintings out of this.
Outcome of the event:The competition led to the enthusiasm within the students and the hidden talents were also seen and appreciated.


Celebrating International Day For Yoga
Joining crores of people across the globe, the People’s Institute of Management & Research in collaboration with the Department of Post Graduate Legal Studies has celebrated the 8th edition of International Day for Yoga with full fervour on June 21,2022. Keeping in mind this year’s theme of ‘Yoga for Humanity’, the celebration was organized at the PIMR Campus by performing Surya Namaskar, Basic Yoga Asanas and other breathing exercises witnessing active participation from Faculties, Non-Teaching Staff and Students.
