CENTRAL JAIL VIST, BHOPAL
Students undertook an educational visit to Central Jail, Bhopal, on May 30, 2026. Students observed inmate rehabilitation programs, barracks, and vocational units, gaining a deep understanding of prisoner rights and prison administration. Such proactive academic visits remain vital for grooming socially aware, empathetic, and practically grounded professionals.The immersive experience bridged the gap between classroom theory and judicial reality, offering firsthand insights into the correctional system.
MANTHAN-Youth Parliament Competition,2026
The People’s Institute of Legal Studies hosted “MANTHAN-Youth Parliament Competition, 2026” on May 29, 2026. Aspiring legal minds simulated intense legislative proceedings, focusing on the highly debated topic, “One Nation, One Election”. Student delegates effectively split into ruling and opposition factions. They delivered robust arguments balancing the economic viability of simultaneous polls against federal challenges. The event showcased exceptional public speaking, sharp constitutional research, and democratic decorum.
District & Session Court Visit, Bhopal
The People’s Institute of Legal Studies organized an insightful Academic Visit to the District and Session Court, Bhopalon 23 March,2026.This visit aimed to bridge the gap between the classroom theory and judicial reality.The students were briefed on the court’s administrative hierarchy. During the visit, students witnessed the practical application of BNSS and BNS proceedings through chief – examination and cross – examination.
Nukkad Natak-2025
On 1 November 2025, PILS, People’s University, Bhopal organized a NukkadNatak titled “Vigilance Ensures Safety” under Vigilance Awareness Week. The street plays effectively promoted integrity, transparency, and anti-corruption awareness, receiving appreciation from university dignitaries and participants.
Police Station Visit-2025
On 25 October 2025, PILS organized an academic visit to Nishatpura, Gautam Nagar, and Ayodhya Nagar Police Stations for first-semester law students. The visit provided practical exposure to policing, FIR procedures, criminal laws, cybercrime, and bridged theoretical learning with real-world law enforcement practices.
Fire Safety Awareness Program
A Fire Safety Awareness Programme was organized at People’s Institute of Legal Studies on 22 September 2025. Safety Officer Mr. Deep Singh educated students on fire hazards, extinguisher use, evacuation procedures, and emergency preparedness through theory and practical demonstrations.
Tree Plantation Drive
In the context of successfully completing one year of assuming the office by the Hon’ble
Governor and Chancellor, a large-scale Tree Plantation drive was organized in universities on a large scale on July 08, 2022. Towards the same, Dr. Anju Bajpai, HOI, Department of Post Graduate Legal Studies, People’s University, Bhopal and Mr. Vishwanath Singh Rajput, Assistant Professor, Department of Post Graduate Legal Studies, People’s University, Bhopal also participated in this activity by planting saplings on the campus on July 08, 2022.
