The Placement List That Tells You Everything About What Studying Hotel Management & Culinary Arts at PIHM Actually Means

PIHM BLOG

Oberoi. ITC. Marriott. Taj, Four seasons, Hyatt. This is what three/ four years at People’s Institute of Hotel Management & Culinary Arts looks like on the other side.

Some colleges talk about placements. People’s Institute of Hotel Management & Culinary Arts    has a dedicated placement support cell @ Institute & centralized placement cell with a 100% placement commitment and a recruiter list that runs from Oberoi, Four seasons, Hyatt and ITC to Marriott, Taj Gateway, Radisson Blu, Sayaji Group, Royal Orchid and properties in USA, UAE, UK, and NEWZEALAND. That is not a list built in one year. It is a list built over nearly two decades of consistently sending trained graduates into the hospitality industry.

The names on that recruiter list tell you exactly what kind of students PIHM produces. Five-star hotels do not run open campus drives for colleges whose students are not ready to work.

What the Recruiter List Actually Includes

Go through the PIHM placement history and the picture becomes very clear.

Oberoi Hotels has conducted recruitment drives for PIHM students across Front Office, Housekeeping and Food and Beverage Service roles. Hyatt selected students for GSA positions. Taj Gateway selected Hotel Associates. Four Seasons selected 4 students ran a closed campus drive and took students across Management Trainee and front office profiles. Sayaji Group of Hotels selected students in a single campus visit. Royal Orchid placed graduates as Front Office and Housekeeping Supervisors. Fairfield by Marriott and Courtyard by Marriott have both recruited from campus. And one PIHM graduate went all the way to a professional kitchen in Singapore.

That last one is not a footnote. It is proof that the training here builds graduates who can compete internationally, not just locally.

Why These Hotels Keep Coming Back

The hospitality industry does not hire on marks or percentages. It hires on how someone carries themselves in a service environment, how they present food, how they manage a difficult guest and how they hold their composure when three things go wrong at once during a busy dinner service.

International Placements

Students are currently working overseas on cruise lines, Resorts and in Theme parks. Our students have been placed in countries such as the USA, UK, UAE, New Zealand, and many others.

The infrastructure at PIHM is built to prepare students for exactly that reality. Front office lab, housekeeping training room, food production kitchen, restaurant and bar service area, bakery and confectionery unit. Students practice real service from year one. By the time a PIHM student walks into an Oberoi or Marriott campus drive, they have already stood behind a front desk, managed a service floor and worked a professional kitchen for hours at a stretch.

That is why five star recruiters keep returning. The students arrive knowing how to work, not just knowing what to say in an interview.

The Courses That Build This

PIHM offers four programmes under People’s University. BBA in Hospitality Culinary and Hotel Administration is a three-year undergraduate programme. BHMCT is the four-year flagship hotel management degree. PG Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology is a one-year postgraduate option for graduates. Diploma in Food Production and Patisserie is a one-year focused programme for those who want to go specifically into culinary careers.

All four programmes are AICTE approved. All four feed into the same placement network. And all four are built around the same philosophy that has been producing hospitality professionals since 2007 — train students in real environments, not just classrooms.

The placement cell handles hotel visits, summer training, aptitude preparation, mock interviews and campus drive coordination throughout the programme. Students are not introduced to the industry in their final semester. They are connected to it from the beginning.

The Industry Is Hiring Right Now

India’s hospitality sector is expanding at a pace that is outrunning the supply of trained professionals. International chains are opening properties in tier two and tier three cities. Corporate travel has recovered fully. The food and beverage industry in India is growing faster than most sectors. Trained graduates with real service experience and a credible placement network behind them are exactly what the industry needs.

PIHM has been producing those graduates for nearly two decades. The recruiter list is the evidence.
